After 10 weeks of studying cultural theory and intercultural relations, how do you think identity is formed? Is it through Girard’s theory of mimesis? Through socialization (a la Berger)? Through the processes of confirmation bias described by Marshall? Through forms of modernity ( formed by Weber et al.) and resistance to it? Through some mix of religion and secularity? Through ethical structures, which come out of the Enlightenment or from religious traditions?
