1. Negative: 10-40 (page 313). Message Strategies: Making Routing Negative Announcements (Helping Our Hometown Grow program). This option is found under EMAIL SKILLS at the end of Chapter 10. Make sure to review the textbook material about sending negative organizational news.
2. Persuasive: 11-44 (page 347). Message Strategies: Requests for Action (Jeri Ross: quiet-zone work room). Make sure you review the textbook material for the AIDA model and how to balance emotional and logical appeals. This option is found under EMAIL SKILLS Skills at the end of Chapter 11.
When writing an effective message, it is best to employ the three-step writing process. This process for conceptualizing, planning, composing, revising, and ultimately delivering messages is not just applicable to written messages. Throughout this course, we will be applying this three-step process to all messages, in all mediums.
